‘RESPECT’ TO APPEAR IN ISRAEL!
Thanks to the joint efforts of the Goethe Institute in Israel (and in particular Wolf Iro, one of the Initiators of the RESPECT project in Russia), and The Israeli Cartoon Museum, RESPECT will be fully operational in another country!
In 2016 in the framework of our comics project new comics of Israeli, Arab and German artists highlighting significant social themes will be launched. Issues which trouble Israeli society, including the frequent taboo subjects of discrimination and the interrelations between different groups of people in the Middle East, will serve as script material for the new comics. Moreover, all new comics will also be translated into Russian and uploaded on to our web site and so may be used in the future for educational or exhibition programmes in Russia.
Incidentally, participation in the Israeli programme RESPECT has already been confirmed by the well-known German Cartoonist Reinhard Kleist!
The entire team of RESPECT in great anticipation and to whet your appetite are sharing here the work of the Israeli RESPECT art director, the cartoonist and illustrator from Tel Aviv, Mysh!
